The Noah Family, also referred to as the Noah Clan, the Family of Noah, and the Ancient Family, are a family of fictional characters in D.Gray-man written and illustrated by Katsura Hoshino. The Family is made up of thirteen superhumans and are named after the fact they are the direct descendants of Noah. The Family first appears as an unnamed group at the Earl's dinner party towards the beginning of the series. They are formally introduced as a group shortly after and serve as the main antagonists from then on.

Although they can look human, as a Noah they can be identified by a gray skin tone, yellow/gold eyes, and a horizontal line of seven cross-shaped markings referred to as holy marks. They share an inborn drive to kill Exorcists. They are easily more powerful than most Exorcists and level 3 Akuma, the second strongest level of Akuma seen in the series so far. But just like Akuma, they base their powers off dark matter, the opposite of Innocence, and are vulnerable to Innocence just as Innocence is vulnerable to dark matter.

Members

Each member of the Noah Family are direct descendants of Noah and have inherited his genes. "Carved" upon each members' genes is one of the memories of Noah. In order for one to become a Noah, the Noah's memories must awaken causing the line of stigmata, or holy marks, to appear across the forehead. This process seems to induce excruciating pain. Each Noah has a unique ability, but all of their abilities are based off the opposite of Innocence, Dark Matter. The group is supposedly the true apostles chosen by God, in contrast with the ideas of the protagonist Black Order, who claim they follow the devil. There are thirteen members, although an odd fourteenth member exists. In spite of working with Akuma, the Noah are human, albeit with supernatural abilities.

Road Kamelot
Road Kamelot represents the "Dreams" of Noah and is the first Noah formally introduced in the series. Despite her early teens appearance, she is referred to as "oldest" Noah or the "First Child". She is also the adopted daughter of Sheryl Kamelot and his wife and niece of Tyki Mikk. As the story progresses, her appearance becomes more feminine. Early on, Road stated she hated humans. However, she has grown an attachment to Exorcist Allen Walker since then. Despite this, her family is still more important to her than Allen's safety. She also retains child-like qualities as she is often seen eating candy and acts like a typical teen overall, procrastinating on homework and skipping classes.

Road's abilities include complete regeneration, telekinesis, and telepathy. But she has displayed the most use of creating levitating candles sharpened to wax stakes to use as weapons and the ability to send an opponent's mind to one of many dimensions of her creation and control.

Road is later seen programming the new Ark. Afterward, she is seen with other Noah on the old Ark as the Exorcists make their way through it. When the Exorcists reach the room Road and Tyki were waiting in, she sends Lavi's mind to another dimension. After the dimension takes its toll on Lavi's "heart", or current self, and the Exorcist is taken over by a past personality, she forces Allen to fight him. But Lavi regains control of himself, badly burning Road into ashes. However, Road survived.

Tyki Mikk
Tyki Mikk represents the "Pleasure" of Noah. He is the younger brother of Sheryl Kamelot and the uncle of Road Kamelot. The Earl once mentions that Tyki subconsciously suppresses his Noah. However it later consumed him when Tyki awakened, The Earl Said, he expected as much from the Noah with the memories of "Pleasure".

He first appeared as a Portuguese vagabond who enjoys playing poker and traveled with his three friends looking for work. As a Noah, he holds the title of "Lord" and seems well-known in society. He has killed the most Exorcists in the series so far, destroying the Innocence of and almost killing the protagonist Allen Walker on three occasions. Tyki enjoys living the two very different sides of his life, but seems to fear losing his three human friends the most.

Tyki has the ability to "choose" what he wants to touch. This selective interaction with his environment allows him to walk on water or air and harmlessly pass through anything, with the exception of Innocence. He often uses this ability to remove one of an Exorcist's vital organs without damaging any other part of the body. Tyki has also shown the ability to "reject" the atmosphere, creating a vacuum in which only he can breathe. He can also control Tease, a man-eating golem in the shape of a butterfly, a gift from the Earl. All of his abilities are multiplied after he is consumed by the Noah within him after a failed attempt to exorcise it from him is performed by Allen Walker. Tyki takes on the appearance of a demon-knight and gains speed and strength that surpasses any human's as well as hundreds of vines growing out of his back that he can control remotely. His holy marks, which previously disappeared due to the exorcism, are replaced by a single, large Holy Mark visible at the base of his neck. Later, his appearance returns to normal except for a remaining gray skin tone.

Skin Boric
Representing the "Wrath" of Noah, Skin Boric is a Noah of American descent. He "awoke" as a Noah three years ago. Skin Boric is killed when he battles Kanda on Noah's Ark in Edo. He is large and has a constant gray skin tone and his holy marks are always visible. Before he was a Noah, Skin worked at the dockyards in New Orleans. After experiencing the Wrath of Noah, the most potent of all the Noah's memories and the suffering his ancestors felt at the hands of the Innocence, he decided to never forgive the Exorcists or God.

Skin's abilities are lightning based. When using his powers, his skin peels, revealing a spiked, golden layer. This golem-like body has a high resistance to attacks and amazing strength. Any enemy who manages to land a blow will receive an electric shock due to the fact Skin's body houses a large amount of electricity. Because of this, he can preform attacks such as Lightning, where a very large electrical discharge is shot out of his mouth toward the enemy, and Divine Punishment, when Skin's electrical energy appear as chain that restricts the enemy's movement and transfers electrical discharges into the enemy's body. This occurs after his attacks have been blocked or lands a blow on the enemy and Skin's energy slowly flows into the enemy's body until it is strong enough.

Jasdevi (Jasdero and David)
Jasdevi is a pair of Noah twins who were originally one. The short-haired David seems to be the more dominant. Jasdero seems more submissive; this twin has a stitched mouth and longer, blond hair. After a battle with Exorcist Krory, the pair disappeared and have yet to reappear. They represent the "Bonds" of Noah.

The Twins have the power of Materialization. They focus this power by forming bullets created by the two thinking simultaneously and then shooting it through an identical pair of guns. The bullets' color denotes their effect. The Blue Bomb freezes anything it hits and the Red Bomb creates a large fireball. The White Bomb destroys anything in its path. The Purple Bomb, or the Deceiving Spectacles, creates a mask-like cover of paint over the eyes of the enemies and causes them to see any illusion that the twins want. The Green Bomb traps an opponent in a slime-filled bubble. Jasdevi's Hate is a technique that does not seem to require a bullet. It materializes a monster that seems to be made of numerous dead human bodies. The monster moves according to Jasdevi's will. Their Materialization skills also allow them to create numerous objects, such as a floating bubble used to trap an opponent, an illusion of the Earl that is derived from a past memory, and, as Jasdevi, an iron maiden used to trap Krory.

By shooting one another, David and Jasdero can merge together and become Jasdevi. They no longer rely on the guns to focus their abilities, instead using bare hands. Jasdevi's long hair also becomes a weapon and gains new strength from the desire to create the "the strongest imagined body."

Lulu Bell
Lulu Bell is a blonde Noah representing the "Form" of Noah. As a Noah, her hair is black and she often appears wearing a black suit and blue tie with sunglasses or as a black cat in the anime for spying purposes and retains various cat-like qualities as a human.

Lulu Bell possesses the ability of metamorphosis and is not limited to a solid state. She can take on the qualities of water, where many attacks pass through her, and the appearance of another character, as shown when she impersonated the Branch Head Andrew Nansen. She can also transform her hands into whip-like tentacles which she can use to pierce, strike, or slice.

Sheryl Kamelot
Sheryl Kamelot is the adopted father of Road Kamelot, the older brother of Tyki Mikk, and the minister of a country. He stays at his estate with his frail wife Tricia, whom Tyki said he married only to adopt Road. He apparently has an attachment to Road and Tyki and often dotes on them both. However, it seems he is not aware of his daughter's affections for Allen. Sheryl manipulates diplomatic situations, allowing him to declare war. The war would lead to the creation of more Akuma. Sheryl is similar in appearance to Tyki as he is also tall and has swept-back hair tied in a ponytail.

He first appears at a ball with Road and Tyki and later at his home with the pair and the Earl. There, they discuss the Heart, the most powerful of all the Innocence, and the 14th. Afterward, he appears at a treaty signing. Sheryl manipulates the situation, faking an assassination attempt on his life using an Akuma disguised as another minister. After the "failed" attempt, he declares war.

The 14th (Mr. Walker)
The 14th, also referred to as "The Musician", was the extra member of the Noah Family and the younger brother of Mana Walker. He was the only member, other than the First Child Road and The Earl, who was able to control the Ark. Before the story's timeline, he gave this power away to a human and ran, betraying the Earl and the Family. The Earl killed him personally. Mana Walker was with the 14th up until then.

Sometime before his death, he told Cross Marian that if Mana was looked after, he would return to him one day. Although the exact time, it is also said that he implanted his memories in Allen Walker before he died. In addition, he, in contrast to the other members of the family, seems to oppose the Earl.
